Very nice hotel in front of the lake of Nantua. Rooms are comfortable, clean and modern. We had dinner at the restaurant which is rather good, with kids menu (not cheaper anyway), but the service is not at the level.

This restaurant tries to be something it isn’t. A 5-star service is attempted but not achieved. A more relaxed staff would be good. The staff are friendly but trying to do a job for which they are not trained. It's quite expensive here too. We prefer the local village restaurants.

Visit today Saturday November 11 at 1 p.m. Outraged at this welcome worthy of a neighborhood bar We arrived for lunch, we were a great team, unfortunately Dominique, who is supposedly the manager of the hotel, gave us a very bad welcome, I think that for this type of hotel in a town that is still lost and so unpopular at this time should hand over to a more friendly and welcoming person. I don't think that missing out on a nice table of 14 people would bother her given that there were only 4 people in this restaurant. Too bad and to avoid going earlier to the restaurant the bistro where the welcome is much higher and the prices much more interesting, the spirit much more family.

It's a pity we cannot grade places with 0 stars as this place really deserves it. Extremely disappointed and displeased by the restaurant. Despite the fact it looked promising, the experience was a total disaster. We arrived at the opening at noon. After being placed at our table, we had to wait 45min to place order and 1h15 to get starter. When looking around all tables where served and even those who arrived way after us. After 30min, I had to go personally and ask the butler what if we could get someone to get our order... He really didn't appreciate it and made us wait 15 more min and we had to pay for the rest of the meal from his arrogance and being condescending to us. Food was nothing exceptional as it looks like in the menu or website... The best is surely the marketing agency that made their website. Starter was smoke salmon which was quite hard and did not differ from average industrial production Main dish was local speciality "quenelle" with Nantua sauce. It was ok but sauce was quite water and not so much taste. You understand that we didn't want to get neither dessert nor coffee. Paying the bill was also an experience. We had to go through the butler which guess what... Made us wait 10 more minutes!!!

The restaurant is apparently very good. Unfortunately we were unable to find out. We received a deplorable welcome from the disdainful and haughty hotel manager Dominique who, we don't know why, managed the restaurant's reception. You can't accommodate us because there are too many of us? It is true that the restaurant already welcomed 4 customers! There are ways to speak and welcome customers even if there is no room. You can keep your upper area. We recommend the Bistrot restaurant opposite the Nantua Lake car park for a superb welcome!!

Very unpleasant welcome from Dominique who refused our group on the pretext that we did not have reservations (14 people) but there was no one left in the restaurant?? For an establishment director this is a little disappointing, we can understand that it is not possible but there are ways of saying things, lack of class. A big thank you to the restaurant le bistrot for its welcome, I recommend it.
